Mentorship that helps change take root

How Roy works with people

01

One-to-one mentorship

Time with Roy creates space to be heard, talk openly and work out a next step. He listens, shares relevant experience and encourages people to set achievable goals, take ownership of their choices and keep going when progress feels difficult.

02

Working in groups

Shared activity gives people a reason to connect. Roy brings mentorship into group settings, using boxing, fitness and conversation to encourage mutual respect, confidence and responsibility. People can practise positive habits alongside others and learn from each other.

03

Talks and speaking

Roy speaks to local authorities, charities, the police, prisons and other groups. Drawing on his lived experience, he opens conversations about choices, setbacks, positive role models and finding a different direction. Each enquiry starts with the audience and the purpose of the talk.

More than coaching

A positive role model, alongside you

Boxing and fitness are ways to build a relationship. The wider work is about trust: having someone who listens, offers an honest perspective and encourages you to recognise what you can do.

Roy brings his own experience of changing direction to that relationship. He helps people connect what they practise in a session — showing up, managing frustration and trying again — with the choices they make in everyday life.

Discipline builds freedom

Lasting change grows through small steps repeated over time. Roy’s approach is to build trust, find a meaningful goal, practise positive habits and reflect on setbacks — helping people develop the confidence to make their own next move.

Questions about working with Roy

Roy offers mentorship in one-to-one and group settings, alongside talks and speaking engagements. Boxing and fitness can provide a practical starting point, with the wider focus on relationships, confidence, responsibility and positive habits.

Tell Roy who the support is for and their age when you enquire. Together you can discuss whether one-to-one work, a group setting or another approach would be suitable.

Contact Roy to discuss your location, the setting and current availability. Arrangements are agreed around the work being considered.

You can enquire about mentorship without having a boxing background. Tell Roy what you hope to work on and discuss the role that practical activity could play.

Costs depend on the work being discussed. Share whether you are interested in one-to-one mentorship, group work or a talk, along with your location and any dates.
